Procedure
To make beer at home you need to first create clean and hygienic surroundings where you will brew the beer. You would need kettles in which you will boil the ingredients. You would also require clean vessels in which you will ferment the beer. You would need a temperature measurer and a set of clean spoons to stir the liquid while it is boiling. You would need clean bottles to store the beer.
To make the beer you would need malt. The malt is usually prepared from barley but sometimes wheat and corn are also used. You would need clean and distilled water, hops and yeast as well. In case you wish to add more color to the beer you can add specialty grains as well.
First and foremost you need to prepare the yeast. Ideally the yeast is prepared a night before you start the brewing process. You will get two types of yeasts, wet and dry. In case it is wet yeast you need to smack the packet a night before and leave it at room temperature. In case of dry yeast you just need to pull it out and let it prepare itself for fermentation at room temperature.
FORMAL DRESSES
On the day of the brewing you first need to boil water. To the water which is getting boiled you can add specialty grain to give it color and enhanced flavor. The specialty grain is not to be added directly to the water, you need to put it in a muslin cloth and dip it in the water. The grain needs to be dipped only till the temperature has reached 170 Fahrenheit. After this you need to add the malt and stir the solution. The malt when added makes the syrup sugary. The malt will release its protein content when put in the boiling water. This protein will first be seen in the form of foam like substance but will eventually coagulate together to form lumps which will settle down at the bottom of the container. After this process happens (it usually takes around 30 minutes) hops are added to the solution at periodic intervals. This is known as the hop schedule. The hops add the popular bitter flavor to the beer which we all savor. The solution is then cooled down so that the yeast can be added. The yeast will only make the process of fermentation happen when the temperature is suitable for them. The yeast usually flourishes at room temperature. Hence to quickly cool the solution you can place the container on the ice slabs and pour cool water on the top. Add the yeast and then transfer into the fermentation containers. These fermentation containers need to be covered and kept in a cool and dark corner of the house. The beer gets fermented in a few days and can then be transferred into clean and distilled bottles.
